Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your support and prayers for the CMS Lasting hope appeal. It was so encouraging to see the way that God has provided for our needs 🙂

First semester has come to an end and holidays have begun. I was able to enjoy a week away last week in a quieter part of the country and it felt almost luxurious. Getting out and travelling on a train, going to cafes and restaurants are things that I haven’t done in over 4 months so it felt even more special than usual. It was great to also catch up with some friends and just hang out.

This August looks quite different to usual, nowhere near as busy and I’ll be sleeping in my own bed every night 🙂 Next week KGK will run strand 1 of our National Training Conference (which was cancelled in February). Strand 2 worked well online in May and please pray that the same will happen for Strand 1. Please pray for the students to grow in their understanding of the God of the Bible as they see how his salvation plan fits together.

Please continue to pray for the students who are organising our Kansai summer camp. It will happen online from the 1st to 4th of September and there are still many things to tease out. Encouragingly, 62 students have signed up and there are quite a few who have never attended a KGK event before. Please pray that God’s word will be clearly proclaimed as we think about our priorities and what really matters.

‘Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.’ (Hebrews 13:20-21)

In Christ,
Kellie
