Please join us for New Life at Home, LIVE on YouTube and Facebook from 9am every Sunday  morning.

Around 50 people gathered at the church building for morning tea last Sunday after NewLife@Home. There will be more opportunities to gather as we ease out of lockdown. While all plans are ‘in pencil’ now (but never for God!) we are confident these will land us together in 2022. Here are some of the details…

Picnic Church with Lord’s Supper – 14 November: 10:30am on grass behind church building (107 Wanganeen Ave, Ngunnawal). BYO morning tea, Lord’s Supper bread/juice and picnic rug/chair. There is some parking in NewLife carpark and ACT Health Clinic. Street parking nearby around Ngunnawal Neighbourhood Oval, also in Kanbi Pl and Balbo Pl. We will do another Picnic Church in December if we are unable to return to the Hall.

REMINDER: Maintain good hand hygiene / Keep your distance (1.5m) / Stay home if unwell and get tested / Check in for contact tracing / Masks optional outdoors

Morning Tea Gathering – 28 November: Meet after NewLife@Home at 10:30am to see one another, chat and share morning tea. Tea and coffee will be available. BYO food and chair (if you want a seat). On grass behind church building (107 Wanganeen Ave, Ngunnawal).

Ngunnawal School Hall: No further news on access for hirers.

NewLife@Home: We will continue to make available a livestream broadcast every Sunday from 9am to ensure everyone is included.

Zechariah – Hope Is For Real: This Sunday we are reading Zechariah 5-6 with Russell and Tim. If you have a question about Zechariah or personal testimony of what God is teaching you that you’d like to share with others, please contact Russell. We would love to include your contribution in NewLife@Home.

NewLife Kids@Home: helps children and families engage with the application point of Zechariah 5-6: Who Will Be King? NewLife Kids@Home is available on website again

NewLife Youth: Youth are gathering at the church building on 5 November for outdoor games, spend time with one another and catch up with Kellie Nicholas.

SAO Seniors gathering: Saturday 27 November at church building for fellowship, fun and lunch from 11:45am. Contact Heather or Lorraine for invitation via connect@discovernewlife.church

Church financial update: See table of figures til end of October. To update or commence your financial partnership with New Life visit:

Staff update: Brock was back on Monday and Russell was released from quarantine on Wednesday. Thanks for your prayers and provision of rest for Brock. Thanks for the kind generosity of a vacant apartment for Russell instead of camping the full week.

Community prayer concerns (contact Russell to share your concerns for prayer here)

  • Relocations: Please pray for NewLife members who are preparing to move away from Canberra over summer: England family to Adelaide; McAulay family to Southern Highlands.
  • Shelley K: Several weeks unwell in hospital and rehab. Pray for God’s healing and holding of her in faith as others care for her.
  • Chris H & Amber S: Pray for patience and steady hope in God as they postpone their recent wedding to April so they can celebrate with family when travel is permitted.

Grace and peace,
Russell
